Boundary Electric is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our team!!

The Industrial Electrician will work closely with the Transformer & Motor Technician Apprentice to ensure all transformer repairs, testing, and documentation is completed efficiently and maintained to the ISO 9001 standard.

Key functions:

· Transformer Evaluation, Repair & Refurbishment:

o Follow testing procedures outlined in the testing documents and record results following the workplans of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System as well as any specific customer-related production requests.

o Ensure that all information is accurate and complete on all Work Orders and Project related documents.

o Testing as per Boundary Electric Ltd.’s (BEL) ISO 9001 standards.

o Support the Sales Department and other departments by lending technical advice and expertise when needed.

o Ensure transformers are complete and ready to ship.

o Quality installation of electrical components in accordance with regulations, specification, design, and Boundary Electric standards.

o Cut, Splice, and terminate conductors.

o Install, cut, and bend conduit as needed.

o Install network cabling as per design.

o Test and troubleshoot as required.

o Perform Quality Control checklists as required by management.

o Measure, cut, drill, and install mechanical components.

o Layout of electrical and mechanical components for installation.

o Pre-assemble components when needed.

o Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner.

o Move material and items around with pallet jacks and forklifts if certified.

Special Requirements:

· Electrical background.

· Mathematically inclined.

· Strong safety mindset.

· Good physical condition.

· Be self-motivated and possess personal accountability.

Education, Skills, and Attributes:

· Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.

Mechanical Designer

Boundary Electric is looking to hire a detail-oriented and quality-focused Mechanical Designer to join our team!!

The Mechanical Designer will collaborate closely with the Mechanical/Structural Team, Electrical Design Team, and the Shop to ensure compliance with all technical specifications and requirements. This role will provide technical guidance and support to the Design, Production, and Fabrication Teams. The Mechanical Designer will model and draft overall structural designs and produce Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on the Lead Structural Designer’s plans. Additionally, the Mechanical Designer will incorporate feedback from the Lead Structural Designer into drawings, models, and BOMs, and perform calculations related to mechanical and structural design, which will be reviewed and confirmed by the Structural Lead. The role also involves contributing to overall project work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation

· Approach each concept with an innovative spirit to achieve new heights of product design while maintaining compliance with our Quality Policy and other standards.

· Engage with customer feedback, placing their needs at the center of design decision-making.

Design

· Analyze client design proposals and specifications to determine the most appropriate and cost- effective design solutions.

· Peer review of other colleagues’ drawings and design and coordination with other disciplines.

· Attend shop floor walk throughs/ field reviews to ensure units produced match drawings.

· Continual improvement of workflows and design standards.

· Ensure all projects meet or exceed BEL standards.

Safety

· Follow industry standard and corporate safety guidelines.

· Participate in Shop Toolbox Talk (operations meetings).

· Bring safety concerns to the Safety Coordinator.

· Identification and Risk Assessments.

Other

· Perform various other duties assigned by the Manager or Team Leader related to project design.

Special Requirements:

The Operations Executive Assistant will provide a high-level of administrative and coordination support to the VP of Operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth execution of daily tasks, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional coordination within a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment.

The Operations Executive Assistant will manage the VP’s calendar, communications, and day-to-day scheduling to support leadership priorities and operational flow. This role will anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Operations Executive Assistant will demonstrate initiative, discretion, and strong organizational skills. They are detail-oriented, solution-focused, and able to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive & Operational Support

· Manage and maintain the VP of Operations’ calendar, including scheduling meetings, site visits, production reviews, and key appointments.

· Anticipate the VP’s needs and proactively manage priorities, deadlines, and time-sensitive items.

· Coordinate cross-departmental communications and ensure timely follow-up on action items.

· Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations.

· Assist in the preparation of operational reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
