The project encompassed the design, fabrication, and delivery of a unitized substation, skid mounted switchgear and polemount transformers, tailored specifically for campus utility use. These custom-built units were engineered to integrate seamlessly with UBC’s existing high-reliability power systems, supporting both the academic and research functions of the main campus.
In addition to manufacturing, Boundary Electric managed all aspects of logistics and coordination, shipping the equipment from their British Columbia facility to the UBC site. Their turnkey approach included production, compliance with utility standards, and on-site deployment. This engagement highlights Boundary Electric’s strengths in delivering campus-scale power solutions – from modular substations to auxiliary transformers – backed by precise engineering, quality manufacturing, and expert project execution .
