Boundary Electric is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our team!!

The Industrial Electrician will work closely with the Transformer & Motor Technician Apprentice to ensure all transformer repairs, testing, and documentation is completed efficiently and maintained to the ISO 9001 standard.

Key functions:

· Transformer Evaluation, Repair & Refurbishment:

o Follow testing procedures outlined in the testing documents and record results following the workplans of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System as well as any specific customer-related production requests.

o Ensure that all information is accurate and complete on all Work Orders and Project related documents.

o Testing as per Boundary Electric Ltd.’s (BEL) ISO 9001 standards.

o Support the Sales Department and other departments by lending technical advice and expertise when needed.

o Ensure transformers are complete and ready to ship.

o Quality installation of electrical components in accordance with regulations, specification, design, and Boundary Electric standards.

o Cut, Splice, and terminate conductors.

o Install, cut, and bend conduit as needed.

o Install network cabling as per design.

o Test and troubleshoot as required.

o Perform Quality Control checklists as required by management.

o Measure, cut, drill, and install mechanical components.

o Layout of electrical and mechanical components for installation.

o Pre-assemble components when needed.

o Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner.

o Move material and items around with pallet jacks and forklifts if certified.

Special Requirements:

· Electrical background.

· Mathematically inclined.

· Strong safety mindset.

· Good physical condition.

· Be self-motivated and possess personal accountability.

Education, Skills, and Attributes:

· Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.

· Mechanically inclined.

· Comfortable in a production environment.

· Strong computer skills.

· Experience working with hand tools and technical testing equipment.

· Experience driving a forklift is an asset.

· Solution based thinker (problem solving).

· Able to work full time.

Exciting Opportunity: Boundary Electric is Hiring a Transformer Technician as Our Department Expands!

The Transformer Technician is responsible for the documentation and repairs of transformers in Boundary Electric Ltd.’s main production shop. This includes evaluating, testing and reconditioning transformers as required.

Key functions:

· Transformer Evaluation, Repair & Refurbishment

o Support the Sales Department and other departments by lending technical advice and expertise when needed

o Communicate with the Team Lead and Operations Manager on daily basis

Boundary Electric is looking for a Shipper | Receiver to join our team!!

The Shipper | Receiver will be responsible for ensuring that the internal store is well-stocked and organized, and that orders are processed and delivered in a timely and efficient manner. This role will also handle incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory management, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

Shipping

• Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to customer specifications and shipping guidelines.
• Load and unload trucks, pallets, and carts using proper equipment and safety procedures.
• Process and fulfill orders from internal and external customers (Industrial Sales), and provide tracking information and delivery confirmation to our Logistics Coordinator.

Receiving

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of merchandise and supplies, and report any discrepancies or damages.
• Sort, label, and store merchandise and supplies in designated areas of the internal store, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Restocking Internal Store

• Restock shelves, bins, and displays with merchandise and supplies, and ensure that they are clean, organized, and appealing.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving, and restocking, and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Proficient in using computer systems, software, and scanners for inventory and order management.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds, and to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the integrity of our operations. The primary responsibility of this role will be to develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

o Lead regular safety audits and inspections of the manufacturing facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with Work Safe BC legislation.

o Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, focusing on safe work practices, emergency response procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

o Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

o Collaborate with management to develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.

o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to electrical manufacturing safety.

o Prepare and submit safety reports to management, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and progress on safety initiatives.

o Actively promote a culture of safety within the organization by providing guidance to employees, and encouraging proactive safety behaviors.

o Lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee.

o Assist with safety equipment setup and cleanup.

o Identify risks and implement preventive measures.

o Conduct post-accident investigations and follow-ups.

o Manage WCB claims and return-to-work programs.

o Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

o Organize and deliver employee safety training.

o Lead monthly safety meetings at all locations.

o Review and maintain PPE and first aid supplies inventory.

o Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in a safety role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.

· In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards applicable to the manufacturing industry.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify hazards and develop effective solutions.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, teach, and motivate employees.

· 2-3 years’ experience as a health and safety professional.

· Occupational Health & Safety Training.

· First aid, WHMIS, Confined Space, Fall Protection Train the trainer would be an asset.

· Valid driver’s license.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Strong communication and speaking skills.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

· Able to work full time.
