Electrical Motor and Transformer Helper

This position is part of a team that assembles, troubleshoots, and repairs pumps, motors and transformers. The ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined team-player who is willing to learn. Boundary Electric provides training in an innovative, fast-paced production environment.

Key Functions:

  • Assist with the evaluation, testing and repair of electric motors and pumps
  • Participate in the evaluation, repair and refurbishment of transformers while supported by the Head Transformer Technician
  • Document test results and issues with excellent detail
  • Effectively communicate with multiple departments from production to purchasing and sales

Operations Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our team.  This is a full-time role offering competitive wages, benefits and pension plan in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Scope:   This position is responsible for all Operations functions of Boundary Electric. Possessing significant technical electrical knowledge and as a member of the Management Advisory Committee, this position effectively manages the operations functions of the organization to meet safety, quality and profitability targets. These operations functions include production and general facility management. The Operations Manager effectively manages these areas with successful alignment of the companies’ values and mission.  The Operations Manager acts as a technical knowledge resource to all departments.

Key Functions:

  • Communicate operations & scheduling requirements to all departments to meet customer schedules
  • Manage production functions, liaising between production departments and company executive
  • Participate in Production meetings and Project meetings
  • Participate on the Management Advisory Committee
  • Responsible for scheduling & staffing
  • Lead the Safety Committee & champion the Corporate Safety culture
  • Implement corrective actions as related to Quality & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with ISO as applicable in production
  • Adhere to the Quality Management System, proposing new and improved procedures for approval
  • Maintain control over inventory consumption
  • Maintain the preventative maintenance program & certifications for production equipment & fleet
  • Submit facility & fleet capital expenditure requests for executive approval

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

  • 10+ years in a similar senior leadership role in a private enterprise setting
  • Trade Certification or Post-Secondary Education an asset
  • Previous experience in an ISO (or similar) environment
  • Proactive leader with a track record of executing on deliverables
