Supply Chain Manager

Scope:   This position is responsible for managing the overall end to end supply chain and logistics functions of the Company in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.  Leads the team responsible for supply chain activities including but not limited to ordering and scheduling incoming materials and supplies to meet production and operational requirements, scheduling and planning outbound freight, customs clearance, coordination of fleet and yard maintenance, receiving and material storage and handling.  Maintains clear and consistent communication with suppliers and shipping contacts and internal department heads throughout the procurement lifecycle and the product delivery lifecycle.  Negotiates supply contracts and rates.  Proactively engages suppliers in identifying potential issues and follows through to resolution.  Responsible for introducing process improvements in the supply chain. Electromechanical Technician

We are seeking a dynamic Electromechanical Technician to join our team. This role is full time, and we offer competitive wages, benefits and pension plan in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Scope:   This position is responsible for assembling, repairing, re-working and troubleshooting complex electromechanical assemblies.

Key functions:

  • Test electrical and mechanical condition of equipment (pumps, motors and small tools)
  • Evaluate faulty or failing equipment for repair, rework or replacement
  • Repair equipment
  • Document issues & electromechanical test results
  • Identify and repair electrical wiring problems
  • Assist the BEL Sales Department with providing repair estimates
  • Perform on-site repair as needed
  • Wind, assemble & test various types of motors generator stators
  • Adhere to and participate in the BE Health & Safety Program

Special Requirements:

  • Previous experience in pump and other electromechanical repair
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical hand tools including soldering and completing assembly
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Elevated quality and safety standards
  • Previous experience in motor repair desired but not mandatory

 

Education, Skills and Attributes:

  • Completion of a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education in either a mechanical or electromechanical field
  • Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumonic systems and principles
  • Journeyman Winder Electrician desired but not mandatory
